Accounts and tax

Accounts and tax, without the year-end scramble

Year-end accounts, corporation tax, self assessment and Making Tax Digital, prepared by people who know your business and keep you ahead of every deadline.

What we look after

Year-end accounts

Statutory accounts prepared from your records, filed at Companies House on time, and explained in plain English so you know what the numbers say about your business.

Corporation tax

Your company tax return prepared and filed with HMRC, with reliefs and allowances checked and a clear view of what is due and when.

Self assessment for directors and owners

Personal tax returns covering salary, dividends, rental income and investments, with advice on paying yourself in the right way.

Sole traders and partnerships

Accounts and tax returns for self-employed people and partnerships, and advice on when it makes sense to become a limited company.

Making Tax Digital

VAT returns are already digital. Making Tax Digital for income tax applies to sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 from April 2026, and over £30,000 from April 2027. We make sure your records and software are ready and file the quarterly updates for you.

Planning, not just reporting

We look at your figures before the year end, so you can make decisions while there is still time to act.

How it works

  • 1

    What we need from you

Access to your accounting software or your records, bank statements and any information on assets, loans and dividends.

  • 2

    What we handle

We prepare the accounts and tax returns, raise any questions with you, and deal with Companies House and HMRC.

  • 3

    What you receive

Accounts and returns to review and approve, a summary of what is due and when, and a conversation about what the numbers mean for next year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you take over from my current accountant?

Yes. With your permission we contact your previous accountant for the handover information and pick up from where they left off.

Do you only work with limited companies?

No. Our focus is growing businesses, but we also look after sole traders, partnerships and landlords, including self assessment and Making Tax Digital.

How much does it cost?

We agree a fixed fee based on the size and complexity of your business, so you know the cost upfront. Anything outside the agreed work is quoted before we start.

Can you help with more than the year end?

Yes. Many clients add bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and management accounts as they grow. See our finance function service. [Our finance function service](/finance-function)
